Wow! what 2 months that was!

Wow its been 2 months since i updated me blog! lots of things happen in this short period of time. What can i say, great things has kept me occupied. Went down to Seremban during hari raya with Marc, Jc and his gf to visit Terence and have some nice beef noodles as well as the famous siew baos. I love my new job! got a great team, a cool boss who is gamer, get to be colleagues with marc and KW, get to join company away day trip and lastly a new cubicle!! The away day in Club Med was loads of fun participating in outdoor activities such as archery, kayaking, swimming, rock climbing, basketball and even got myself on a flying trapeeze. Better still, our team came out tops to beat 14 other teams in the team building event to earn each of us a rm70 Jusco voucher. I also manage to win a 1Gb SD memory card in the lucky draw! i had never had any luck in lucky draws before. The night performance was spectacular and hilarious it kept us entertained way into the night. Then the beat of the music starts everybody got into party mode and dance to the early morn! With free flowing drinks at the bar.... need i say more?

Marc got a new car a Myvi so now we get to car pool. Save some $$ off petrol & toll as well as lessen the burden on the environment! killing 2 birds with one stone =)
Working in Cyberjaya is not so bad after all, no traffic jams smooth driving and lots of trees makes traversing to work and back a breeze.

Soon to be world tallest builiding.... Burj Dubai

Recently in the news it was stated that the construction of Burj Dubai has surpassed Taipei 101(currently the worlds tallest building). Once completed the building will be undisputed as the margin of height between its closest competitor is 300meters. Below is the comparison of height with 5 other previous record holders.

As you can see the only way to put back our Petronas Twin Tower as the world's tallest building is to eliminate the "twin" by stacking it up on top of the other. LoL but naw this would not happen... we should have built a single tower =(

Ancient bacteria that lives for 1/2 million years??

My post yesterday was about longevity. Coincidently todays news article that i came across highlighted that scientist have found ancient bacterias that are able to survive for half a million years! in harsh frozen climates and could possibly point to life on mars.

The bacteria has the ability to repair DNA genome degradation may be the key to prolonged or even everlasting life. This means that life's battery may be possible to be recharged! though it may not be possible in this lifetime but some time in the future perhaps, if the human race don't wipe out our own existence first that is.

Longevity = life's battery.

I have always wondered, why different creatures have different life spans. Some lives for merely a few days however some go on to live for hundreds of years. So i take tortoises as an example why do these creatures live for so long? what defines a tortoise? its slow and relaxed (due to the fact that tortoises do not have much natural predators thanks to its hard shell). In contrast is the humming bird know for its rapid beat of wings (up to 70 beats per second)leads a busy life as it requires to feed on huge amount of nectar which exceeds its own body weight in a day to sustain its high metabolism rate resulting in a short life. An active creature tends to strain and wear down the body meaning that repairs have to be done to the cells in the body which uses a lot of energy... if insufficient can cause dire consequences.

So to me it seems that longevity is like life's battery, take things slowly and relax... that way it drains your battery at a slower pace. Some what this true as it applies to non living beings as well such as motors and engines, the faster RPM that they produce consumes higher volume of petrol or electricity. It can be concluded that longevity depends on how well a being can efficiently use energy available to them.

Trees are the least active as they barely move therefore they go on to live for thousands of years!!! but what a boring life... I'll rather be a tortoise. Remember stress will shorten your life, so try to relax and throw your worries away.

Hi, be like me!

Ok i have been tagged... so this is it

Ok i have no idea wat is a tag i assume its like the game we play as a kid when you are tagged you are "it" a.k.a the bad guy.... your job is to tag another person and pass the bad guy status to someone else. But in the blogger community the one tagged have to write a post on any of his or her previous blog topics which is divisible by 5 be it the 5th,10th,15th,... posting.

The topic i chose is my 15th post which is about my Sis's birthday which has passed so i will blog about her latest obsession .... Her brand new "Pink" Dell laptop. I don't know is it just me or companies like Dell and Sony are coming up with a choice of colors for their laptops breaking the norm of usually black laptops catered for executives. I guess humans these days are more trendy and likes to be different.

As far as we know the color pink are normally associated with women why is this? Amazingly the answer lies in human evolution according to time.com. Early humans are hunters and gatherers, man do the hunting and women gathers food mainly ripening berries and fruits. Along the years women develop the ability and tendency to detect red better. Thus such coloration such as pink will instantly attract them. For more in depth information of the research click on this link "Why girls like pink"

What is your driving force?

Do you sometimes feel that you are untouchable... having illusions of grandeur like nothing can hurt you or bring you down. Or at times feel so down that you are so vulnerable and have trouble picking yourself up.

Its at times like this that you take some time to reflect upon yourself, your soul, your very being and question your existence. Why are we here? what do we strive for? thoughts are nothing if you don't put it into action. But we are not always capable of doing things that we think is possible, creating a barrier that withholds our potential.

I once read a motivational article about breaking this barrier... with just one simple question "what is your driving force". What is it that keeps you going? be it your dreams, your family, your loved ones, or maybe simply yourself. So what ever it is thats reason enough to push yourself to the limits.

So try to get a quiet time for yourself and do a self reflection.

Persona..... ah a beautiful name

Our national car Proton has unveiled its newest addition to the family. This time with a few major changes and not only to its name Persona which give a more international standard compared to the Wira, Satria, Juara, Tiara, etc... which i think sounds pretty lame. This car would be the last resort for Proton to jump back in to the grab a share of the local car market, or die trying.....

I have to say although its pretty obvious that the body design is based on the Gen.2 hatchback, however there have been much accomplishment in the restyling which gives an air of elegance to it. So far the pictures and reviews are mostly positive whats left is to go to your local Proton showroom and get a feel of it or possibly a test drive. Personally for me i think all is well although there may be still room for some improvements in the interior which i think still looks quite "plastic". Here i present you some links with reviews and pictures of the "Persona"

The future of internet?

Again i was surfing the net for interesting news and this is an article i found. 75-year-old likely set Internet speed record thanks to her networking professional son. They have come up with a 40-gigabits-per-second fiber-optic connection along with a revolutionary new modulation technique. This would be the benchmark for the future of the internet!!! Imagine downloading a full length movie in 2 seconds... take that Streamyx its 40,000 times faster than what you are providing =p

Why terrorism must be stopped!

I was disheartened today due to the tragic news of the second death of a member from a group of 18 female and 5 male south Korean Christian volunteers that were abducted by the Taliban a few weeks back in Afghanistan. Last week the pastor of the group was killed because the Taliban demands the release of their members were not met by the Afgan government. Although a new dateline has been set for the release the government has yet to comply, time are running short for the hostages i pray for their safe release.

The reason the volunteers are there are to make a change to the lives of those ravaged in the war torn country. A bitter twist of fate landed them in this hostage situation instead their life is now a wager for the freedom of a few terrorist militants. They do not deserve such fate, nobody does. This is clearly why terrorism must be stopped. Innocent lifes of those who do good are traded for the freedom of blood thirsty inhumane mongrels. Thinking of it just makes my blood boil... This is a very complicated situation as there are no other options, its release or die... We cannot allow the terrorist to win but without the expense of human life it is just not possible.

They are not asking for a sacrifice... the lives of the people in their hands means nothing to them. Driven by their ideology the world is so much more a dangerous place to live in. Imagine the release of these militants each one of them pose a greater threat to humanity itself. Remember 9/11? it just takes a handful of terrorist to bring the world down to its knees.

In this case would you abide to terrorist demands? The world does not do any deals with terrorists but guess we have no choice but to save the Koreans and deal with those bastards later.

The Hostages

Kitty grimm reaper?

This is a piece of strange news that i have fished out from the net. Apparently there is this cat Oscar who predicts death in nursing home by simply curling up on a patients bed and stays there in a time frame of 4hours before the death. Oscar knows, when your time is up!

Move aside giant squid here comes the colossal squid!

As i was surfing wikipedia for more information on the giant squid i came across the colossal squid which is the largest squid species ever recorded. Below is a picture of a colossal squid caught in the arctic waters off the coast of New Zealand early this year.

Sotong Gergasi! a.k.a Giant Squid

Since i was a child i have always been fascinated by the giant squid thanks to the movie 20,000 leagues under the sea. Also referred as "Kraken" in Norwegian folklore this creature is featured in the movie "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Mans Chest". This is no ordinary squid that turns up on your dinner table. This is one behemoth squid which is very elusive and lives in the crushing depths of the sea. Not until recently the knowledge of this majestic creature remain hidden, with the development advance technology are we starting to piece together the mystery surrounding giant squids. Japanese researchers made history on December 4 2006 when they were successful in filming a video of a live giant squid. It sometimes gives me the creeps imagining an invertebrate can grow up to the size of a great white shark. If one day a living giant squid is available to be viewed by the public i will definitely be there to see it.

When songs used to have a meaning

I remember the few weeks back Terence came down we had lunch at pan bakery. During that time we saw old skool music videos form the 80's and early 90's that we used to hear and watch when we were kids. So i decided to watch some of these videos on youtube which includes Ace of Base, Roxette, Cardigans, The Cranberries, Just to name a few... boy i tell you it sure brings back memories when music has it meaning not like some music these days which comes with meaningless rapping and mindless ramblings just to reap off the multi billion commercialized music industry. So here i post one of my most favourite songs of yesteryear its a darn good reggae song.

And also a memorable Latin tune.

Tiny changes that goes unnoticed o_O

I used to remember when i was a lil kid i dont like to eat things that are bitter or too spicy. Strange enough now i find myself liking foods that i used to hate. I remembered my parents asking me to gulp down half boiled egg yolk which was yucky to me back then. Now when ever i get a chance to eat at a coffee shop i would order 2 half boiled eggs to go with my roti bakar.... yum! Lately i also found myself to have a craving for bitter gourd... yep thats right you are not mistaken bitter gourd ... i dont know whats gotten into me but each time i go to a "dai chau" lately bitter gourd chicken rice will be on my menu. Lol maybe i just want to taste the "bitterness" in life.

I specifically know when this tiny unnoticeable changes occur but i think mainly because how our mind picks up messages thats slowly changes your mindset, in this case it was the nutritional value of the afore mentioned food. I call it indirect brainwashing... just like advertising even though you have not tried a particular brand you will always tend to pickup something that you have always heard of or come across.

I used to love the rainy days.....

Not anymore yesterday's incident where a lightning claimed my modem, motherboard, and my router port.... This is not the first time though it seems that i never learn =( was on the pc when it started to rain then the cool sensation in the air caused me to be tempted to lay on the bed and i fell asleep. The next thing i know there was a loud thunder and that is where my nightmare began. Now i will have to replace my motherboard and router that is if my processor, ram and hdd are not burnt as well. Seems like the lightning is indirectly burning a hole in my pocket.... come to think of it this incident further proves my ying yang theory that i have mentioned before in my previous blog where good things are always followed by a bad thing and vice versa. Cos the good thing is i finally finished my Shell Ferrari car collection yesterday and look what happened.

so people if there are lightning remember to unplug your telephone line. Even if you have a surge protector or lightning arrestor dont take any chances as do not estimate natures wrath as a bolt of lightning can pack several thousand megawatts that not even our human contraptions or gadgets can withstand.

What you dont see ..... might kill you .....

This month 5 of my fellow colleagues were down with dengue fever 4 was warded and 1 (Shen Kai) miraculously cured himself at home. But do not take this lightly dengue is not something that can be trifle with as it is has the potential to be fatal. It seems that lately Malaysia and singapore have recorded an increase in the epidemic due to the change in our climate which provides a much warmer weather which is best for mosquito breeding as reported in the online news link below:

Dengue cases jump to a new high

Now we move on to the infection it starts with a bite from adese mosquito causing the virus to enter the victims blood stream. At first one will feel chills then followed by severe high fever in the next few hours. Then comes in the headache and pains in the muscle and joints slowly red patches of red rashes will appear on the lower limbs and chest, for some cases the whole body. A victim may also experience abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea. So if you are having the symptoms stated above i would be wise to go to the nearest pathology lab and have your blood tested. The best way to know if a person is infected by dengue is by the platelets count in the blood when it drops to <100,000 platelets per mm.

So take care people!

Life is all about Expectations!

Why do i say so?

Life begins when your mom is said to be "expecting" soon... When you are an infant your parents will keep expecting you to utter your first word and take your 1st baby steps. Then when you are old enough to join preschool you will be expecting a lot cant wait to go for classes and meet new friends. And when you are finally old enough for school your parents will expect you to study hard and come up top in class. Even in your circles of friends they will have an expectation of you to be somebody trustworthy and somebody who can be relied on.

When hormones kicks in you will then get into a relationship and this of course come with expectations as well where your other half will expect you to give calls, presents, surprises, remember the special anniversaries, and give enough love and attention.

Then comes the college or university years where some say determines your future especially this is the time where parents expect you to excel the most and make them proud with a diploma or degree.

Ah the working life..... once you go for your 1st interview you will certainly be asked this "what is your expected salary" question LoL. Then to keep your skin you will have to live up to your boss and seniors expectations.

Once you are middle aged and married that is where you will most probably be expected to do the most. Change the baby's diapers, send the kids to tuition, pay the bills, have time for your wife, kids and parents, and the list goes on and on...

At semi-retirement age your kids will be the the young adult stage and expecting some pocket money for dating, new hand phone, new clothes, new car......

Lastly when you are old you will expect how long you have left in this world. Hey its even called human life "expectancy" so for me if i can live till 80 that will be good enough.

So i wish i can live up to everybody's expectations.

Do you believe in ghosts???

Last weekend i was having dinner with my cousin in KFC and she told me that she saw a ghost or she think she dreamt of one. For me i dont believe in ghosts as it is most proabably a figment of our imagination due to tired mind or stress which causes hallucination. My rationale theory is that ghost does not exist are due to the reasons below:

1. I have not seen one therefore it does not exist, because seeing is believing. If they exists i dont wish see one either LoL. But i have seen quite alot of living ghost such as gambling ghost(tou kwai), lazy ghost(lan kwai) .... etc haha

2. If there are ghost they should be naked. Come on im sure that you have heard of ghost stories where ghost are draped in white cloth.... how can ghost bring their clothes to the afterlife. Clothes do not have souls =_=

3. There should be ghost everywhere. Since the time of modern man 20000 years b.c. countless people have died ammounting to the billions. Therefore you need not look for ghosts they should be all around you.... but i have yet to see one.

For those out there who have encounters the supernatural kindly share it with me and if possible prove me wrong. Also if any ghosts out there which are reading my blog please dont come haunt me to prove my theories are wrong XD the holy ghost is exceptional in this case.

In U.S. ...... In Iraq ...... Violence prevails.... =(

Sorry people its been a busy April for me, so now im back to blogging ... As i was having my Unit Trust exams which i have passed and currently awaiting my license and certificate to start my career as a Unit Trust Consultant. This means i will be juggling 2 jobs soon. Futhermore this month i am working night shift which is the busiest shift as most of our customer are U.S. based and its office hours for them there.

In the papers today it seems that US and Iraq are having domestic violence which have reached new heights as you can see from the links below:

Virginia Tech School Massacre

Car bomb Kills 170 in Baghdad

In Iraq a car bomb kills 170 people which is a deadliest death toll for a car bombing since the invasion of U.S. As for the States it was the deadliest school massacre in history with 33 deaths have grabbed most of the headlines across U.S. tabloids. The killing was carried out by a 23 year old South Korean student named Cho Seung-Hui at Virgina Tech University. Apparently i see no difference in the suicidal school shootings with the suicide bombings in iraq as innocent lives fall victim to such unscrupulous acts.... Apart from that we can see the picture of the man behind the massacre, from what i can tell his facial expression potrays a chillingly disturbed individual.

This further questions the gun laws in the states where the rights to bear arms are the most lenient in the western world. This raises the question if you bear arms to protect yourself what will protect you from others who bear arms to cause harm to you? If guns are not easily obtained, there need not be an answer to the previous question.

Happy Aprils' fools day!!!!

My first April post, Its been a busy weekend for me. As I had to take leave to pay respect to my grandparents and departed relatives during 'Qing Ming' had to wake up at 5.30 on weekends which is extremely rare XD We do this every year because its a Ng family tradition where all the men of the house will have to gather without fail to do our duties to our ancestors. Also i have my upcoming unit trust exams on the 14th and i have not finished reading my notes (3 chapters left) so i plan to finish it in two days and do the past year questions. May the force be with me!

Hehe managed to play a prank on Pattie dear on Aprils fools day XD she took the bait at first but realised it before i get to say it =( Currently she is having her 1week school holidays in Labuan. Also manage to play some pranks on my cousins every year is the same ol' "what's that on your nose" and they end up looking into the mirror wahahaha.... so gullible. Oh yea you guys and gurls will not see me on msn as i am working the graveyard shift this month.

Disgrace to the Chinese community.....

Today an article in the newspaper flared my anger! it is stated below:

&sec=nation

Im a Terengganu state kid where the state symbol is a turtle. As Rantau Abang is a popular turtle sanctuary where the worlds largest species of sea turtle the leatherback turtle and many other types of turtle come and lays their eggs on our shores. These days the number of turtles world wide are dwindling. In this case it is due to a Chinese fishing trawler fishing illegally in our waters... whats could more wrong than that is that they are fishing for turtles which are protected endangered species by our government. Why is this? they want to make money to survive... which means the destructions of natures beautiful creatures, how selfish is that? As a Chinese im very disappointed by our oriental cuisine such as sharks fins soup, and also some other exquisite dishes which uses meat and other body parts of endangered species such as tiger, turtles and etc. Mostly due to the believe that they contain aphrodisiac properties.... which studies have proven to be untrue... if you want to boost your sex drive go drink some tongkat ali or Viagra which is much cheaper than putting our endangered species on the line! So to all the Chinese community out there! heed my call! Dont give our race a bad name. When the buying stops! the killing will too......

When Critics and viewers reviews are Worlds apart.....

As always i was checking out Yahoo movies to watch out for movies that are worth watching in cinema as i hate pirated movies cos those DVD salesmen are bloody crooks and liars. Why you ask? often or not people ask weather the movies are clear, they will often say ..... super clear "cheng pan geh" when in fact are illegal cinema recordings with audience voices in the back ground and shadowy figure floating past the screen in between the movies GRRRR.... Ah i almost lose my self back there. Ok its back to what i would like to point out in this post. More often than not when picking a movie i would like to choose a movie based on a viewers review rather than a critics review. For an example check the link below:

http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1809426511/info

whats wrong with critics these days look at the rating F,C,C-,D damm they are so uptight.... its a comedy! cheer up. You get paid to watch movie and write a review! wats the big deal. Haha now the funny part is reading the review posted by jbb5522. He always watches movies with bad ratings from Atlanta Journal as it will surely be a great movie. Lol maybe i should try that too..... watch a movie with a bad rating from a critic to see how far his theory is true.

My growing collection! Thanks to y'all

Today my cousin sis Ah Ling who just came back from Thailand dropped by my place to give me 2 cans and 2 bottles of Thai Coke and Pepsi for my collection. That was a great surprise as seldom do i get cans from neighboring countries, so a big thanks to her.

With this recent addition my cans and bottle collections are now over 120 =) so here i would like to extend my gratitude to my Sis who brought me the world cup coke designs from Germany and also Coke zero, My dear Pattie who brought back some nice Coke and Pepsi cans from the states, Marc for the China Olympics can collection, Calvin for the Coke can from Japan, Choo Choo for the miniature Coke can from Switzerland, Alan and family for the Coke and Pepsi merchandise, my cousin sis YaYa for the Jolin Coke can from China, Ian Chai for the Diet Coke and Pepsi Twist from Taiwan and to my parents for helping me keep and maintain my collection which is back at home.

It all started when Alan was my neighbor i used to visit his place often and was impressed by his dad collections of Coke cans, merchandise and also memorabilia s, its really quite nice to see the different designs all lined up on display. So i decided to only collect cans and bottles only rather than merchandises as there seems to be countless merchandises out there and they cost a bomb!

So any one out there who are going oversea try getting a can for my collection or those who would like to contribute to my current collection i will be forever thankful =)

God of War Vs Prince of Persia!......

Finally after few months wait, God of War 2 is finally out which tells the new adventures of Kratos as the new God of War. Dont worry there will be not spoilers here as i hate spoilers myself. Got my Ps 2 alive and kicking again. Its been a while since i been playing action RPGs. Then i came across my mind that my 2 favourite action RPG titles which is God of War and Prince of Persia are actually enemies in the movie 300! where Kratos is a spartan and Prince of Persia well speaks for himself. Any way if they were to go head on im sure you know whos gonna win LoL .... its a God against a Prince. But cant play too much sigh.... having unit trust exams next month! Guess i will have replace my time for DOtA with God of War for now. Unless I am playing with da Gang!

Natures little wonder...

Here i am sitting on my office chair doing my job. Then i saw a tiny ant running across the desk so i decided to trail it. It ran all across the desk then down the sides, onto the carpet and up the wall to join a number of ants marching up and down the wall like a highway. This little guy then joined a group of other ants which is moving a piece of biscuit which i dont know where it came from... probably from the pantry. Its amazing to see them move this biscuit up the wall in the same direction all by the gesturing and touching of antennae .... pretty complex form of communication system O_O then came the problem they were unable to squeeze the piece of biscuit through the crack between the wall and the asbestos ceiling. They switched sides... changed angle.... asked for backup.... but still no avail it just wont fit =_= what can i say they have limited intelligence. After a few minutes they gave up and down the wall they went with the piece of biscuit. I thought of giving them a tiny hand by breaking apart the biscuit but then again the slightest touch might cause them to flee and all their efforts will be wasted. Felt sad for them as you try and imagine moving something few times your own body size... what more against gravity >_< poor ants... why do you all deserve such fate. I have never seen a lazy ant before as all the ants i see work tirelessly all with equal duty. I wonder what goes on in their puny minds..... probably this "FOOD! FOOD! for the Queen n colony!"... like natures robot programmed to gather food and none other. All their tiny deeds go unnoticed, oblivious to the world around them, so to all the ants out there i salute you. Then i realize that they are working hard and Im doing the opposite.... *Blush* paiseh! its back to work for me as well. Good luck with the biscuit my little friends!

The Spartan way of life...

Just last weekend me, marc, Kw and his bro went to the cinema to watch the movie 300 the story about legendary King leonidas and his 300 brave spartans last stand against the invasion of the massive persian army. The movie was intriguing and awe inspiring. It was really strange to see their barbaric child military upbringing only to find that they hold honor, virtue and pride above all the rest. So i decided to look into wiki and read more on their culture and way of life.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sparta

As i continued reading a small paragraph and quote caught my attention, it is stated below:

A strong emphasis was placed on honour and carrying out acts because it was the 'right thing to do.' Xenophon wrote about the Spartans as he observed them during an Olympic game:

"An elderly man was trying to find a place to sit and observe the Olympic Games, as he went to each section. All the other Greeks laughed as he tried to make his way through. Some ignored him. Upon entering the Spartan section all the Spartans stood and offered the elderly man their seats. Suddenly the entire stadium applauded. All the Greeks knew what was the right thing to do, but the Spartans were the only ones who did it."
So for those who have not watched the movie! its highly recommended watch it in the cinema its worth it. This is Sparta!!!!!

Say Yes! to a Razer!

Its been a while i have been having problems with my mouse the scroll wheel is messed up and the sensors have been unresponsive so i have decided to get a new mouse. After much surfing and review reading from Low Yat forums i have decided to buy the Razer Krait which many termed a value for money gaming mouse. For a Rm100 mouse its a good deal as it has a 2years manufacturer warranty. As for the technical spec and picture you can check it out in the link below:

http://www.razerzone.com/Products/Gaming-Mice/Razer-Krait-Gaming-
Mouse/

I admit i was a skeptic saying "a mouse is a mouse why pay so much for a pointing device..." but after i have used it im a believer. Its nothing i have ever experienced before in conventional mouse that i have used before.... im never going to use a normal mouse again. The on the fly sensitivity is really responsive as i can dash the pointer from one end of screen to the other with minimal wrist movement. The buttons are big with a grip surface and contour which locks your fingers into place, real comfy! Satisfaction guaranteed!

Everybody are Biased

I today was smsing and i realised something my right fingers do more of the smsing compared to my left... why is this? there is nothing wrong with my left hand its equally same with the right. Then how come i dont use it as often as my right. After some mind cracking it all comes down to biasness. More often than not we as human beings dont realize that we are biased. Even in a family one can see the preference among certain siblings to a parent resulting in the of most often used terms "golden child" and the "black sheep". In the work place you can see the "boot licker". In school this also applies to the "teachers pet". Once i saw in a documentary a mother bird will feed the chick which open its mouth the widest as it symbolizes health and more often than not the other chicks will be malnourished and at some extent die of hunger. This in fact one of natures term "survival of the fittest". Does this means that we really have to do something to stand out from the crowd? or its just simply a question of preference. Well i dont know ... but i can start by giving my left hand more attention lol.

Unlikely playmates

I was reading international news and for once there is good news other than news of war and terrorism. Below is the link of the good news that i have came accross:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/indonesia_tigers_orangutans;_ylt=ArB2ZaW

It really makes you wonder about the innocence of the young. How a predator and a prey can get along so well. But its only time when nature kicks in and instincts will take over as it is mapped into the very DNA of every living beings. One can only imagine the garden of Eden where all the creatures can get along with one another. Glad that both these endangered species might one day breed and save their own kind from extinction

It feels just like family

I came back a day earlier than i have planned during my CNY break so that i can get to meet one of my "heng tai" Kenneth Wong as i may not be having the chance to meet him again cos he will be applying for PR in Australia after his studies. The day started when i gave him a call saying that i will be going to his place via taxi, however as generous as he is he turned down my offer and came pick me up instead. There he was in the Gen 2 with his sister Jessica to pick me up and off we went to have the so called "legendary fried tom yam rice" as he normally claims. Haha it ended up not bad not so spicy and just right it really hit the spot. Next we went to Sunway Pyramid to because Kenneth wanted to get some stuff as well as the new winning eleven ( A.k.a Yee Loo to Kenneth and Calvin). Once we are done Kenneth wanted me to meet his girl friend Michelle so we drove to Bandar Utama to pick her up as he also planned to have dinner with her. We sat down at her place and get to chat abit with her mom who is very kind and offered me a drink as well as give me an Ang Pow. Then her father came back when we were just about to leave to bad i wasnt able to chat with him, maybe next time. The final stop was back at Kenneth home where i get to meet uncle Mike and Aunty Kat its been a while since i last saw them, they are still as friendly and hospitable as always which always made me feel at home and also like part of the family. It seem that they just sold of the Rx7 and Mercedes MPV, and got a Civic and Naza Ria. Also i realise that there there are more decorations in the house especially aunty kats prized duck figures. At that time Calvin wasnt at home as he outside with his gf Karina. Then Kenneth's younger Emily came down, wow she has certainly grown taller and prettier even the way she dresses has changed, well what can i say girls matures like a flower blossoms under the mid-day sun. After watching "ah Wong" which Michelle has rented, thats when Jessica went to pick up Marcus who just got back from Sarawak. Once they were back, off we went for dinner in Bangsar Village. I had mamas bolognese spaghetti haha which is quite nice but it was the desert that was the best, chocolate brownies topped with ice cream with choc syrup.... slurpp it really got my sweet tooth there. Once were are stuffed we went on to some window shopping where we ended up in Novo and Vincci which is where the ladies look for their basic necessities ... Shoes lol. Haha its kindda of funny cos Jessica was having some trouble making her decision on the choices of shoes to buy and the others we complaining that it took very long well i dont blame her as the shoes looks equally good.

Somethings just never change! Thank god it didnt =)

Chinese New Year had just passed a week ago so there i was on a bus with my sis on a 5hour journey back to the place where i spent most of my youth. Its good to see some development in town there is a new landmark, some shop houses, and some changes to the road however the Kemaman feel is still there so quiet, so peaceful, so at home. I have to admit i miss this place as its been a Year since i have come back. Sometime i think that we do really take our roots for granted, after tasting life in the city nothing beats the feel of home. Mom and dads cooking, the family dinner, my comfy bed, good ol Lucky boy, driving around town, the feel of sand between my feet, the wind in my hair, the sounds of the crashing waves, reunion with home town friends. Was also able to visit Kok Loy, Kee Ling and Sonny boy who is Kok Loy's cousin who is also my childhood friend which i last saw when he left for Australia for studies. Lucky for the 1 week break i was able to drive down to Kuala Terengganu to visit my relatives (mom's side) wow the younger generation do grow up so fast these days my cousins are so much taller than the last time i saw them... hmm it must be the milk that they drank when they are babies lol sustagen, enfagrow, etc. Its also great to see my aunts and uncles are well and content with life there. My cousin bro Danny is now playing world of warcraft and even registered a trial account for me. WoW like its name sake is an amazing game with nicely crafted character design, vast environments and realistic movments left me captivated but its sad that nowadays i do not have much time to play especially P2P games. Haiz but somethings arent the same this time I wont be able to crash at Alans place and play cards with him and his bros friends, lol ah peng ahaha hilarious. The second day was more in "Pai Nian" at friends house, the first stop was Wei Chih place where i met all of the boys most notably is Ah Tong who gave me an Ang Pow as he is the first among our batch to get married. Lol funny thing is that everybody says that my looks never change just as i was since i left high school. After that we went to Ah Pings house where we met the rest of the kemaman girls which i must say they look so much ladylike now. We had a few drinks and good laugh before deciding to go eat kemaman specialty which is keropok and coconut so off we go to Kijal. On the third day of Chinese New Year i had my reunion with my high school friends at Sanctuary Beach resort. We rented a beach buggy and took turns to ride it around the seaside just pure fun! when night falls its BBQ time! Then its the spin the bottle time where all the secrets are revealed... lol but im not going to mention it here to embarrassing. A day passes and its time to go back my week is over so i went back with my KL uncle who came to Suria Beach resort for a visit.

Tennis...... anyone?

I was surfing for transfomers movie images when i ended up in some elses blog with this link:

http://www.hemmy.net/2006/06/25/highest-tennis-court-play-in-dubai/

The venue is the Burj al Arab Dubai Hotel setting a world record for the highest tennis court. The view is simply breathtaking. Also featured is a tennis match between Andre Agassi and Roger Federer. This wonder of Architectural design speaks for it self. But i think Agassi and Federer needs to have bungee cords attached incase they fall over the edge.

Its a video on ASIMO the robotic dude from honda. Well he had learned it the hard way. Remember always watch your step while alighting a fleet of stairs instead of staring into the crowd LOL. Thank god he have no emotional or physical feelings im sure if that was me my head would have hurt and be pretty embarrassed to say the least.

Confidence Trick! read this to make sure you do not fall victim

Was once again surfing wiki and found this link

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Con_artists

Age old con tricks used by other people to betrays someone elses confidence which coins the term "Confidence Trick". It quite interesting what some people can come up with to pull scams that preys on the greed of men which is the major factor on how this works. So beware people dont let your greed get the better of you.

My Ying and Yang theory...

Hi what i thought was a great month this was, but i was hit by flu and cough. This further strengthen my concept of balance in the world. What i always believe is that when something good happens to you something bad always follow and vice versa and this is what creates the balance. Also to me the theory is that there is no such thing as a middle for instance in this world everything is split by half take for example the X and Y chromosomes there is no other! that makes a boy or a girl, win or lose, alive or dead, up or down, pass or fail and etc. Middle or a draw is just fictional term a made up term by man! no boundaries can be drawn. There is nothing to prove that something is over or lesser as this line that divides the two are just made up in numerical form where if it is precisely calculate it to the smallest margin computable it will either be one of the two. Call me nuts or call me crazy its my belief! sue me =p

What a fun weekend that was!

Last weekend Terence came down from Seremban to pay us a visit. On Saturday we (me ,terence, marc n kai) went to 1 Utama to do shopping and catch a movie. Haha along the way i those buggers keep hinting shogun to me expecting belanja! i dont mind if i won 4D or strike lottery lol .We watched pathfinder the movie was so-so but also have its moment but i do not recommended anyone to watch it in the cinemas. LoL we lost our sense of direction as the place is huge! didnt manage to find the batting cages =( later we had our dinner at Salmon Steak. Its been a while since we went there after Alan and Terence left Sunway, so kindda miss the food there although its not superbly delicious. Then it was the main event! DOtA we headed for Global and took the 3hour package. Had fun playing together but it was dissapointing as we did not finish a complete game thanks to leavers... Played till 12.30am then we have to head back as i was working 1/2 weekend shift <(=_=)> returned home at 5am and have a good rest after a tiring day.

On sunday we woke up and terence came to pick me up thats when someone else joined in the gang ah Lai (a.Ka. elton john) thats when the nightmare imagine getting physically harrased in the back seat by a purple dino. We headed to Carrefour to have our lunch it was 2pm. There i almost choked on my food when ah Lai said "doom-pringles" haha hilarious his version of doombringer. Once we are done we headed to my place so that i can "leech" from terence's hard disk of music and english series woot!. While watching the FF12 trailer on the ps2 and copying the files to my pc, Pattie called she was shopping with her sis. She was telling me about the illegal immigrant demanding money for claiming to wash their when they were shopping. They have no choice but to give as some of them might get aggressive. Damm those people trying to make money with unscrupulous ways... wish i were there to tell him off. Once ah Kai came back from his 1/2 day duty we went to drop ah Lai and Marc to have a change cos we are going to Sungai Wang plaza. We decided to take the LRT as it was raining as we fear that we might be caught in a jam on Federal highway if we drove there. So we drove to Kelana Jaya and parked the car there n headed for KL sentral. We reached KL sentral, on the way to change transit to Monorail we had to dash across the road and got drenched. Then we headed for bukit bintang. There me and terence had a quick shopping we entered our 1st shop and came out with a pair of jeans and that was the only clothing we got for the day. Later after some doing some walking we went to sushi station and had our japanese buffet! Ah Kai tried the soba cold noodles taste wierd but nice. This time it was ah Kai turn that almost made us choke with his "fata error". Man we were stuffed!! everybody had fun we all agreed that it was well worth the money. We later caught the LRT back to Kelana Jaya and blasted off to the main event again DOtA. Lol all random can be very unfair we were pitted against 5 disablers on the first round haha especially my naix got owned naw more like feeding XD. But the second round we owned. Then the last round we met a group of whiners who claims to be lagging once they are losing we lost our mood and left. On the way back again ah Lai cracked us up with his "the invisible four" which actually what he wanted to say was "the fantastic four" ROFL! LMAO!

Smokers! Kick that habit!

I came across this advert site through star online. It mainly focuses on the usage on NRT to help smokers kick the habit. It is quite interesting to see and read on proven facts and information related to smoking. To all those smokers out there who are planning to quit here is your next step, just a click away:

What i am up to lately.... games games games

Lately is all about playing Maple story n playing PS2 need for speed carbon on my pc thanks to the VGA box that i recently purchased.

Pattie n I still missed RO as that was a fun game lots of things to do while the best thing is that we were able to meet up with Malaysian n Singaporean friends and guild mates. This is what i found missing with mmorpg these days most of the free online games are based on overseas servers which attracts players from all around the world but we somehow were unable to 'click' with overseas players mainly due to the language barrier and regional exposure. So as a substitute we ended up playing maplesea.

Actually maple story aint such a bad game, just that its 2D and lacks alternative things 2 do, Well cant complain much as its a free game. It been a while since we played mmorpg together due to my work and her studies. Thanks to her holiday season we were able to catch up with the leveling that we have left behind ages ago. Haha as always pattie is always occupied with her online pets, this time is a a cute baby panda lol to play with when leveling gets bored. We manage to join an active guild that has their own site and slowly getting to know the members, hope that we will get to make new friends just like in RO .1 more week till her poly reopens so might as well enjoy the time with her while it lasts.

Happy Birthday Sis!

Yesterday was sis 25th birthday! we have her a surprise all thanks to my cousins yan yan, john and ah lings efforts. Had fun hanging out with my one and only sibling although we have many differences my sis is a cool gal very self dependent and capable! I admire her courage as she dare to venture overseas to fulfill her dreams.

Im glad that she loved the present i got for her. Never thought that i have good taste in picking up presents =)

Thanks sis for looking out for me all these years! A salute to my sis!

Beware the electromagnetic wave!

LoL this is funny shiet... Once again i was surfing wiki and found this link.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pana_Wave

All a while i was fascinated by cults and their extremism but this beats all the rest. Move aside ayah pin and your Sky kingdom cult there comes the pana wave! to think that such a perpostrous cult would have members up to the thousands kind of crack me up.... wahahaha its like dress in white .... or die! Wonder whats goes on in their mind.... either they dumb or just brain washed. The best part is the attempted kidnap of a white seal........ ROFL!!!!!!!

Online emotions

Bored as i am, i was surfing wiki on random articles which lead me to this disturbing article.

http://www.shrinemaiden.com/SaseboSlasher/

Little that we know the impact of the internet has somehow fused itself to our very emotions triggering actions that some would not be aware of doing. In this case a is a chilling story of the actions of a japanese child under emotional pressure sparked by the internet phenomenon. Creepy... kinds of remind me of the killer lolis in the anime higurashi. Another disturbing fact is that there are some fans which idolize such acts by paying tribute in forms of art and fan fictions. Well we cannot blame the internet as most of this are psychological implications of the mind as children often mimic act that they have seen, coincidently there is an instance in todays paper where a 10 year old Texas child hangs himself while apparently mimicking saddams execution on TV.

Its true as what i have encountered over the years internet does somehow effects your emotions mild or rather deeply. Love, happiness, sadness, hate, jealousy, envy, pride .... no matter what emotion it is we have to rationalize and don't overstep our boundaries as the mind is a scary thing that can give birth to unimaginable consequences.

Farewells and Welcomes

I bade farewell to 2006 with mixed emotions... happy that i have fulfilled my most important promise which is to visit her and sad that we have to make a tough decision to just be friends at the moment as her future is still uncertain. In 2006 is also the year that 2 of my best friend Alan n Terence part ways well thats life sooner or later we will have to go our separate ways. So here i am back in west Malaysia after a spending a week in Sabah. Kota Kinabalu is a great place very peaceful and serene... reminds me of my hometown. It is a town close to the coast line and also to the highest mountain in south east Asia. I'm very fortunate to get a nice view of the majestic peak. Someday i will eventually set my foot there. The hill resorts and beach resorts here are one of the best that i have ever seen. As for Patties family its great to be able to have a chat with her parents, sis n bro. Am very fortunate to get to meet her aunt, relatives and grandma kind of reminds me of my own family gathering where everybody gather around have a big feast, chat and laugh all the way. The only downside is that i dont speak hakka =( hope i can get to learn more from her in the future. There i get to taste the food ... yummy seafood haha, kelapa bakar and pudding kelapa which is not available in east malaysia those who go to KK make sure you try it! Also not to be missed is the natural poring hot spring in Kinabalu park a bath in these waters is very refereshing and great for the skin as it contains underground minerals. Wat a small world we live in, i met Alan's parent while in LCCT terminal as they were sending off Alan's aunt which will also board the same plane. Sadly when we went to Tuaran his aunty's tuaran mee stall is closed as it was a public holiday. On the final days of my trip we visited Labuan, the tax free island sort of like langkawi of the east. Never expected that i was also given the chance to drive her around kk and also be her passenger haha it was so much fun. There we manage to buy some cheap chocolates although not extremely cheap but slightly cheaper than those elsewhere. Overall it was a great trip its worthwhile as i get to see, feel her beside me, fool around with her and spend the time with her. I was able to get 2 know her better and learn new things from her. Wished that time the time will never end, but as always reality is very cruel >_< what we cant forget is to cherish the happy moments of the past as it may be our last.

Welcome 2007!!!! the year of the pig draws near!! which is my year ~ Oink! yea I'm a pig according to the Chinese calendar. To all the piggies out there! Terence, Marc, Kar wai, and Shen Kai this is the year we take over the world! This year there are a few resolutions i would like to make.

1. Stay true to my feelings.
2. Try to make extra income by doing Unit Trust under my aunt guidance.
3. Be more sociable.
4. put on some weight... or muscle even better.

As for my hopes. Wish that Pattie will get to further her studies here. This six months i will wait it is nothing compared to the 3years that i have been with her. Then only we can be together and have a relationship again side by side that we were missing before.
